Catholic Tube

Hey everyone,

Hopefully I am not frustrating everyone with all the template changes.  I have some plans for revamping the site and adding some new features, and I have been playing with it alot lately, and this is probably the third different theme in 3 weeks.

If it is bothering y’all, please let me know and I’ll set up a test site to do my modifications on.

Anyways the purpose of this post is to let everyone know about a new project I am working on called Twitness (http://www.twitness.com).  I got the idea from an application called Foamee.  It is a Twitter application used to owe people beer or coffee.

I know that Twitter is really starting to get adopted in the Catholic community.  I think the attractiveness to Twitter is that its simplicity (statuses which can only be 140 characters) removes alot of the barriers that turn many Catholics off when it comes to Facebook and especially MySpace.

Anyway the concept is simple.  You sign up for a Twitter account, follow the user itwitness, and then send a message to that user in the following format “@itwitness message”.  I would primarily like to see it start out as people sending short snippets of there conversion / reversion stories, short apologetics tips, etc.

If I get good feedback on this I will definately expand the app.  I didn’t want to put alot of work into, if it was just another far fetched idea that I had.
