Supporting a Recovering Porn User
http://www.catholic.com/profiles/matt-fradd
Catholic Answers speaker and apologist Matt Fradd offers advice to a woman who is trying to be supportive of her husband who is addicted to pornography.
Matt Fradd is Australian by birth and Catholic by choice. After experiencing a profound conversion at World Youth Day in Rome in 2000, Matt committed himself to inviting others to know Jesus Christ and the Church He founded. As a missionary in Canada and Ireland, Matt proclaimed the Gospel to over ten thousand teens and young adults. Matt has also served the Church through full-time lay ministry in Australia, Ireland, Canada, and Texas.
Matt has been seen or heard on the BBC, EWTN, The Irish Morning Show, and Catholic Answers Live, where he has shared his personal story of sin, redemption, and healing to people all over the world.
Recently, Matt, his fearless Texan wife, and their three beautiful children (Liam, Avila, and baby on the way) moved to sunny San Diego where Matt now works as an Apologist and Speaker with Catholic Answers. Matt best demonstrates his infectious passion for the faith when he speaks about the many wounds that pornography inflicts, the healing that Christ offers in the Sacraments, and the freedom that the Church proposes in Her teachings on the virtue of chastity.
Достойно есть, Axion Estin, It Is Truly Right – Byzantine Chant
This is the same hymn as my previous video. The difference is, that the previous video was the Greek version and this one is Slavonic. There follows the Slavonic lyrics, the English phonetic, and the English rough translation:
Достойно есть, яко воистинну,
блажити Тя, Богородицу,
присноблаженную и пренепорочную,
и Матерь Бога нашего.
Честнѣйшую Херувимъ
и славнѣйшую безъ сравненія Серафимъ,
безъ истлѣнія Бога Слова рождшую,
сущую Богородицу Тя величаемъ.
Dostoĭno yestʹ , yako voistinnu ,
blazhiti Tya , Bogoroditsu ,
prisnoblazhennuyu i preneporochnuyu ,
i Materʹ Boga nashego .
Chestnѣĭshuyu Kheruvimʺ
i slavnѣĭshuyu bezʺ sravneníya Serafimʺ ,
bezʺ istlѣníya Boga Slova rozhdshuyu ,
sushchuyu Bogoroditsu Tya velichaemʺ .
It is truly right to bless thee, O Theotokos,
ever blessed, and most pure, and the Mother of our God.
More honorable than the cherubim,
and beyond compare more glorious than the seraphim.
Without corruption thou gavest birth to God the Word.
True Theotokos, we magnify thee.
Axion Estin, Άξιον εστίν, Достóйно éсть – Byzantine Chant
This Marian hymn of praise is found in the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom at the conclusion of the Anaphora. It is sung at Matins, Compline, and other services as well. The Phonetic, Greek and rough English Translation follow:
English Phonetic:
Áxion estín o̱s ali̱thó̱s makarízein se ti̱n Theotókon,
ti̱n aeimakáriston kai panamó̱mi̱ton kai mi̱téra tou Theoú i̱mó̱n.
Ti̱n timio̱téran to̱n Cherouveím kai endoxotéran asynkríto̱s to̱n Serafeím
ti̱n adiafthóro̱s Theón Lógon tekoúsan, ti̱n ónto̱s Theotókon,
Se megalýnomen.
English:
It is truly right to bless thee, O Theotokos,
ever blessed, and most pure, and the Mother of our God.
More honorable than the cherubim, and beyond compare more glorious than the seraphim.
Without corruption thou gavest birth to God the Word.
True Theotokos, we magnify thee.
