Against Abortion – Teachings of the Church of Christ
The Catholic Church, i.e. Church of Christ, has always held abortion at all stages to be the destruction of an innocent life. Long before science had “proven” it, the Church saw that life truly began at the moment of conception. Because it is a full person, he/she is to be protected from conception. I used various authorities of Scripture, Tradition and Canon Law to reaffirm that ALL CHRISTIANS MUST REJECT ABORTION. To support it, to have one, or to perform one is a heinous abomination.

SILENT NO MORE
An abortion destroys a lot more than a living baby. Posing as the most macabre “health care”, it is, by far, the greatest contemporary threat to life, well being and (world) peace. So do make your life choices (and all-important voting decisions) with utmost care.

Face of Pro-Life #119: Jill Sackidovitch – Reaching out to Youth
Ave Maria!
Jill Sackidovitch director of the Westbrook, CT branch of Birthright offers her insight of how to reach out to youth with a Pro-life message in this modern, changing, materialistic world, making use of her ample experience working with young teenage mothers coming to her local Birthright facility. She also set up a booth at a local fair and had much more contact with youth in general. She believes that the joy of life message has been received very well by youth. She believes that youth are increasingly pro-life and describes the free materials that she offered to the youth. She also mentions how ultrasound images of their little babies is very powerful for young mothers and how the youth and even young children understand the sanctity of human life very well. The youth are also very quick to notice a lack of sincerity and are quite skeptical in general so it is important not to talk down to them. They want to hear the other side of the story as opposed to the line they get from TV etc. We must provide them with this other side, the culture of life that raises the dignity of humanity and leads to eternal life.

They explain their very interesting and unique pro-life apostolate that they carry out on their motorcycles, going from one abortion clinic to the next giving witness and side-walk counseling in a way many people can relate to. Changes in the Mass: Words of Consecration
Potentially the most striking change in the new translation of the Mass, a translation from the Latin (which has remained unchanged in all the Missals since Vatican II) comes at the consecration of the Mass. Taken out of context (and that context is the whole of Scripture and Tradition!), the words can be profoundly misunderstood. Catholics need to be solidly informed about this. (Are you?)
