Eldest Cardinal passes away: Eugenio de Araújo Sales was named Cardinal by Paul VI
http://www.romereports.com Brazilian Cardinal Eugenio de Araújo Sales has passed away at the age of 91. He was the archbishop emeritus of Sao Sebastiao in Rio. He was also the eldest in the College of Cardinals. Now the eldest is Paulo Evaristo Arns, who is also Brazilian.

Jun 29 – Homily: Peter and Paul Gift to the Church
Fr. Bonaventure on how Sts. Peter and Paul were gifts to the Church from God and did so much to spread the faith far and wide in the early Church. They finally ended their long journey with martyrdom in Rome, the center of worldly power, but would soon become known as the center of eternal, spiritual power. Let us continue their great mission under the successor of St. Peter in the spirit of St. Paul in the Holy Roman Church.
