The Words and Teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ – Part 2/2
This is the second part of my videos on the word of Jesus Christ. Again, these are only a select few of the many and all important and life giving truth of his voice. The songs in this video are the Nomina Offerentium by the monks of Santo Domingo dos Silos Gregorian Chant, and the Hierarchical Entrance Rite of Byzantine Chant. The images, meant to give some variety to the video are (not in order) Christ disputing with the doctors, Christs charge to St. Peter, Jesus cures the blind man, Jesus teaching at the Temple, Sermon on the mount, and Christ and the rich young man. The quotes are from the RSV, RSV-CE and DR Bibles.

The Words and Teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ – Part 1/2
This is the first part of two videos which show the great words and teachings of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I have only included a handful, probably the most well known. For every word that proceeded from His mouth was wonderful. The quotes are taken from the RSV-CE, RSV, and DRB Bibles. There are various images showing Christs life throughout. Please forgive me for any errors.

Is Peter the Rock in Matthew 16:18?

Catholic Answers Senior Apologist Jimmy Akin answers the claim that Peter is not the “rock” Jesus refers to in Matthew 16:18.
Jimmy Akin was born in Texas and grew up nominally Protestant. At age 20 he experienced a profound conversion to Christ. Planning on becoming a Protestant pastor or seminary professor, Jimmy started an intensive study of the Bible, but the more he immersed himself in Scripture, the more he found it to support the Catholic faith. Eventually, he was compelled in conscience to enter the Catholic Church, which he did in 1992. His conversion story, “A Triumph and a Tragedy,” is published in the book Surprised By Truth.

Fr Dominic, preaching on the Gospel account of Matthew’s conversion, emphasizes that when we reach out to sinners it should be to convert them not to show approval of the sin.
