Homily #120904 ( 08min) Play- St. Rose of Viterbo died at the age of 18. She was known to be holy all her life. At the age of 3 one of her aunts died and she went up to the casket and prayed for her aunt and she was raised from the dead. At the age of 10 Our Lady appeared to her and told her to join the 3rd Order of St. Francis. Her feast is celebrated today in the Francisan Ordo.

Today is the 1st Saturday of the month – a day given to Our Lady and a day Our Lady made so important at Fatima by Her asking for the First Five Saturdays. This is one of the Secrets of Fatima – few Catholics know about Fatima and even fewer know about the First Five Saturdays Devotion.

Sep 03 – Homily: Holy Labor
Fr. Elias preaches on the life of St. Gregory the Great and his stress on confession. He also mentions that today is Labor Day and how the Church focuses not only on eternal life with the sacraments, but is also concerned with this life and building up Christian civilization here and now. He then relates this to the liturgy and then to other human activities, adding teaching from the Church’s social encyclical Rerum Novorum.
