Theologians and professors propose basing new economy on human ethics

No Truce on Abortion — Full Steam Ahead!
http://www.PriestsforLife.org This is Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life. As we approach our national elections, we have heard some candidates who are generally pro-life say that there ought to be a “truce” on the matter of abortion, because the issues that we should focus on are not so much the social issues like abortion, but rather the jobs and the economy.
First of all, we in pro-life leadership say to this suggestion: “Absolutely not!” There can’t be any kind of truce on abortion. It’s the “let’s agree to disagree approach”. When someone is perpetrating violence on a victim, you don’t sit back and agree to disagree with the perpetrator. You stop the perpetrator.
If you think it’s not important that the government has authorized the taking of innocent life, well then just consider the fact that if the government can take away your life, it can take away your job and your money.
No truce. No slowing down. No quitting. No softening. Abortion is the number one issue; it’s the number one moral tragedy. It must be at the top of the priority list of all of us so that this holocaust will end.
