General Audience: Pope speaks about prayer of Saint Dominic
http://www.romereports.com During the general audience in Castel Gandolofo, Benedict XVI continued his catechesis on prayer. He spoke about St. Dominic, the founder of the Dominican Order in the thirteenth century and someone that led an apostolic life that was always supported in prayer.

Franciscans honor St. Dominic as Holy Father St. Dominic because of the relationship between St. Dominic and St. Francis and between the two great mendicant orders, the Dominicans and Franciscans, which they started at about the same time and have done so much to promote holiness in the Church throughout the last eight centuries.
