Hodie Christus Natus Est, O Sapientia – Catholic Christmas Songs
A couple of short Messianic Christmas hymns and salutations. The lyrics for each follow:
Hodie Christus natus est: hodie salvator apparuit:
Hodie in terra canunt angeli, laetantur archangeli:
Hodie exultant justi, dicentes: gloria in excelsis Deo: Alleluia.
O Sapientia, quae ex ore Altissimi prodiisti,
attingens a fine usque ad finem,
fortiter suaviterque disponens omnia:
veni ad docendum nos viam prudentiae.
Today Christ is born: Today the Saviour appeared:
Today on Earth the Angels sing, Archangels rejoice:
Today the righteous rejoice, saying: Glory to God in the highest: Alleluia.
O Wisdom, coming forth from the mouth of the Most High,
reaching from one end to the other mightily,
and sweetly ordering all things:
Come and teach us the way of prudence.

Convergence of Powerful Themes
Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, talks about the convergence of some powerful themes. Some of these themes are the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr., the anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade decision, the Annual Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. He discusses how all these themes are intertwined with each other and how they converge together during the month of January. Christmas – An Affirmation of Life
Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, wishes you all a Merry Christmas. He talks about Christmas and it being an affirmation of Life. Jesus Christ was an unborn child and experienced life in the womb and birth as a human child. This reflects the joy we should experience at the birth of every child.
