Pope thanks Castel Gandolfo residents for warm welcome

To escape Rome’s intense heat, the Pope officially started his summer vacation in Castel Gandolfo, an Italian town just south of Rome. Upon arrival, he was greeted by bishops and local government officials. Then, from the balcony of his summer residence, the Pope thanked both residents and tourists who gathered outside his summer home to welcome him.
