  1. This is a gross distortion by Jeffry who should know better. For example, McCain opposes a constitutional amendment on marriage becasue of state-rights principles - he is a constitutionalist. Marriage laws fall under state jurisdiction and jeffry knows that but he selectively decides to not tell the viewer. Similarly on stem cells, McCain only supported research on stem cells that were already created and slated for destruction, not on new ones. When he discovered that science is indicating that embryonic cells may never be required to get the same results, he said he would support not using them. On abortion, he is a 24 year old Pro-life candidate, unlike Romney who was recently forswearing his oh so precious pro-abortion beliefs just a couple of years ago. Two exceptions - allowing abortion for rape or incest. That is a conscientious decision that has genuine theological arguments in favor. Would you force a loved one to carry such a pregnancy to term? I wouldn’t and I am a devout catholic and defy you or anyone else to tell me otherwise. McCain is a lovely Christian man. Further Catholic support should occur because he is merciful towards “the stranger in your midst” (immigration) and he is the only candidate who thoroughly knows how to protect millions of innocent people in the matter of war and security, and if you didn’t notice, the nation is at war. Mr McCain tells the truth; Catholics should support him.

  2. No one has to tell you that you are not a devout, practicing Catholic if you say abortion is acceptable for any reason—your actions speak louder than words my friend.
