It really made me feel the real presence of God, wether in my own mind and thoughts, in the procession of the Blessed Sacrament, who is really our Lord Jesus Christ, and whether in the Church in the mass, were in the Liturgy of the Eucharist in the portion of the Holy Communion where I take Him Body and Blood of which I never feel that the mass is not complete for me unless I take the Sacred Host.
I really felt the Presence of God when I saw the video with my granddaughter who is in my lap.
So whether in the procession of the Blessed Sacrament, in the Adoration Chapel, in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass where I take His Body and Blood and the mass is not complete without taking the Sacred Host, but most of all I always feel that the presence is always with me in faith, for as St. Paul said, for “Christ is in me and me in Christ. May God bless me and my family for this gift of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen
Correct me if I’m wrong but Catholics do not believe that PRIESTS have the ability to change bread into Christ’s body. The priest does not have that power.
From the CCC 1375 - St. John Chrystom is quoted as “It is not man that causes the things offered to become the Body and Blood of Christ, but he who was crucified for us, Christ himself. The priest in the role of Christ, pronounces these words, but their power and grace are God’s. This is my body he says. This word transforms the things offered”
I think that we are caught in a semantical trap here. The video says “Priests have the ability …” which could be taken two ways:
1. The video says priests turn bread into flesh which would contradict church teaching.
2. The video says that priests have the ability to to say the words of consecration, in which God’s grace transubstantiates the bread into the flesh, and the wine into the blood.
I can see your point. The person who made the video may have an incorrect view of the priest’s role in mass, or it may be just the way the phrased it.
I’ll leave a comment on the video post. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt since you would be hard pressed to fit the entire quote from the CCC into the video.
