Introducing . . . The Catholic Answers Gala & Auction 2012

A Special Event

A gala is a very special event for an apostolate like Catholic Answers. It is a chance to meet and interact with key supporters, to thank them for all they have done to help the ministry, and to share with them our vision for where it is going.

The gala takes place in an elegant setting and features events such as a cocktail hour, a gourmet meal, an exciting live auction, and entertaining talks and video presentations by Catholic Answers speakers and other dignitaries.

Last year’s Catholic Answers Gala drew more than two hundred attendees to the Los Angeles Airport Hilton, who met and heard talks by Fr. Joseph Fessio, Karl Keating, Tim Staples, and Leah Darrow. All together, the event raised more than $100,000 to help support and extend the work of Catholic Answers.

Coming Home

This year the Catholic Answers Gala will be held in our own hometown of San Diego, at the Sheraton Carlsbad Resort and Spa. The event will take place on Saturday, September 22, 2012. Once again Karl, Tim, and Leah will be there, as will other Catholic Answers personalities, such as Jimmy Akin, Patrick Coffin, Jim Blackburn, and Fr. Vincent Serpa.

The event will also feature dignitaries including San Diego’s new coadjutor bishop, the Most Rev. Cirilo Flores, and famed baseball player Mike Sweeney. Though Catholic Answers is known nationally and internationally, and has helped millions of people worldwide, many here in San Diego aren’t aware of it and the many spiritual services it performs.

Changing Lives in San Diego

We’ve changed lives all over the world. Now it’s time to change more of them–right here in San Diego. We want to introduce Catholic Answers to a broader audience in San Diego so that it can have a greater spiritual impact on the local area, and we hope you will come to the gala and join us in this effort.

Now that we have Catholic radio in San Diego, we need to raise the funds required to expand the local community’s awareness of Catholic Answers and, in particular, of its popular, award-winning radio program, Catholic Answers Live.
