Benedict XVI receives the Director General of FAO
Pope Benedict XVI this morning received the Director of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), José Graziano da Silva of Brazil. During the meeting, Mr. Graziano spoke of his great appreciation of the commitment of the Holy See and the Catholic Church in the fight against hunger and poverty, especially in Africa. The two men also spoke about the worrying situation of food security.
